Tammara | Founder of The Doula Experience

Care. Clarity. Continuity.

Tammara is the founder of The Doula Experience, a Houston-based end-of-life care and planning practice dedicated to supporting individuals, families, and organizations through life’s most important transitions.

Her work bridges compassionate presence with practical guidance—helping people navigate serious illness, caregiving, advance planning, memorialization, grief support, and workplace bereavement with dignity and steadiness.

Before founding The Doula Experience, Tammara’s professional background began in the oil and gas industry, including work with companies such as Dynegy and Neste Petroleum during periods of significant economic transition within the energy sector. Following industry layoffs and shifts, she transitioned into commercial property management, later serving as a Property Administrator with Transwestern, where she supported medical office buildings and professional tenants within a high-volume corporate environment in Houston.

Those experiences cultivated adaptability, emotional intelligence, organization, and the ability to remain grounded during periods of uncertainty—qualities that would later become foundational to her end-of-life work.

Today, Tammara’s work integrates:

  • End-of-life doula support
  • Affairs readiness and advance planning
  • Memorial and ceremony guidance
  • Wedding officiating and ceremonial minister
  • Workplace grief and bereavement support
  • Community education and outreach
  • Compassionate coordination for families and caregivers

She is also connected to professional and community-based organizations that support holistic, informed, and person-centered approaches to end-of-life care and education.

Through The Doula Experience, her mission is to help normalize conversations surrounding death, grief, preparation, and legacy—while creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, informed, and emotionally held.

The Doula Experience was built on the belief that care should not begin at the final moment—but long before it.

Because every transition deserves presence.
And every life deserves to be honored with intention.
