What Is a Death Doula?

A death doula is a compassionate guide who supports individuals and their loved ones through the end-of-life journey. I walk alongside the dying person—and their family or friends—helping to create a deeply personal, meaningful, and peaceful transition.

My Role Includes:

  • Facilitating essential conversations

I help individuals and families talk openly about their values, health care wishes, and spiritual preferences. This may include completing personal healthcare directives and ensuring that medical decisions reflect what matters most.

  • Navigating the healthcare system

Together, we identify challenges, ease communication with providers, and create a plan that reduces stress and enhances comfort—for both the dying person and their support circle.

  • Supporting emotional and spiritual needs

I work with caregivers and loved ones to:

Explore fears and emotional blocks

Honor traditions, beliefs, and rituals

Offer contemplative or meditative practices

Hold space for grief, love, and reflection

In the overwhelming moments of serious illness or after a terminal diagnosis, I serve as a steady, grounded presence. My goal is to ensure that the journey—however unique—is approached with clarity, care, and as few regrets as possible.

I believe a good death is not a luxury—it’s a right. Peace, preparation, and dignity at the end of life are privileges afforded only to a few. Through emotional guidance, practical planning, and legacy-centered care, we ensure every client can approach death with agency, grace, and peace of mind.

From advance directives to end-of-life rituals and family care, our work redefines what it means to live && to die well.

A Good Death Is:

  • Informed – When the client understands what’s happening and has made conscious choices.
  • Supported – When the Circle of Care && Support are present.
  • Peaceful – When pain is managed and spiritual or emotional closure is possible.
  • Planned – When legal documents, end-of-life care preferences, and funeral wishes are in place.
  • Connected – When there is an opportunity to say goodbye, to reconcile, and to share love.
  • Aligned – When the dying process reflects the client’s beliefs, culture, and life story.

Planning brings peace and I am here to remind you that your choices now are your legacy later.

Let us help you paint your legacy picture.
